Commissioning a new battery energy storage system, with surge arresters installed as part of the electrical protection scope.

Our team is supporting the commissioning of a new Battery Energy Storage System in Bosnia and Herzegovina, alongside the installation of surge arresters for electrical protection.

The work covers the full project lifecycle on site: commissioning and troubleshooting, then preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades and long-term technical service.

Battery storage is becoming a core part of a flexible, stable and renewable-driven grid. This Croatian project extends our on-site engineering, commissioning and field service from PV and medium voltage into energy storage.

Regular inspection finds developing issues early, reduces unexpected failures and extends the life of the equipment.

We checked equipment condition and correct operation, ran preventive checks, and looked for abnormalities before they could become major faults.

Frozen ground, cold equipment and long days on site, from the first checks to final energization.

We carried out cold and hot commissioning of each plant: every cable tested, every inverter configured, every signal verified. Then the plants were energized, the systems synchronized and clean energy started flowing into the grid.

Each site runs Sungrow SG350HX-20 inverters and medium voltage stations. Thanks to THE OHM ENERGY for their support and collaboration throughout.

Tracker maintenance

Trackers are among the most mechanically demanding parts of a solar plant. Servicing them early protects yield.

Regular inspection and proactive servicing detect wear before it becomes a costly failure, keep tracking angles synchronized across all rows, and prevent downtime from motor, gearbox or sensor faults.

Done well, maintenance stops being a reactive cost and becomes a tool for holding energy yield and return on investment.

Being in the field lets us go beyond design and check that systems perform throughout their lifecycle. The visit covered performance evaluation, preventive and corrective interventions, monitoring and data analysis, and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Predictive maintenance and customized monitoring help operators run solar assets efficiently and at lower cost.
